Champagne Léon – The sincere and natural expression of the Côte des Bar

At the heart of the Côte des Bar, in Landreville, Domaine Léon embodies the revival of a family estate under the guidance of Clément Robert, a young passionate winemaker. Since 2019, he has taken over the vineyards once used for Champagne trading and has given them a new identity, focused on authenticity and respect for the living. Converted to organic farming, the estate cultivates its plots on clay-limestone and siliceous soils, revealing the full diversity of the Aube terroir.

Inspired by the values of natural champagne, Clément Robert crafts vintage champagnes from a single vintage, non-dosed and naturally vinified. Fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts and the wines are aged on lees, without artifice or unnecessary intervention, in order to preserve the original purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir.

Iconic cuvées such as the Blanc de Noirs "Enchevêtrer" or the Blanc de Blancs "La Grande Côte" bear witness to great precision, elegant tension, and rare depth. These wines reflect the philosophy of the estate: sincerity, balance, and a true expression of nature.

From its first winemaking, Domaine Léon has managed to impress with the quality and mastery of its champagnes. The 2019 red Champenois hillsides, made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, have left a lasting impression with their intensity and elegance.
Today, each cuvée of the estate tells the story of a living terroir, carried by a winemaker who combines rigor, humility, and respect for time.
