South of Epernay, Jean-Marc Sélèque (the third generation at the estate) took over the domain in 2008 and engaged in impressive vineyard work, being a pioneer in soil cultivation, respecting the biotope, and drastically limiting treatments. All this to harvest perfect grapes, without excessive yields. Each cuvée from JM Sélèque is a subtle alchemy between a terroir, emblematic Champagne grape varieties, and careful aging (30% in oak barrels) without fining or filtration. The JM Sélèque style is characterized by champagnes that are light and airy, with fine and indulgent bubbles, an underlying tension, and a general harmony worthy of a musical score, Jean-Marc's other passion!
