Domaine Tenuta di Carleone

Tenuta di Carleone is a magnificent estate located in the heart of Tuscany, between Siena and Florence. It is here, in the heart of the Chianti Classico appellation (the historic heart of Chianti wines), that the Austrian entrepreneur Karl Egger decided to create his own winery in 2012, with the help of a passionate winemaker, Sean O'Callaghan. The vineyard, covering about twenty hectares, is mainly planted with Sangiovese grapes, all cultivated using organic and biodynamic practices. The estate's philosophy is to work the vines and soils to obtain grapes in perfect health, in order to minimize interventions in the winery. The wines display a lot of freshness and aromatic purity. The tannins are always very refined, far from the typical firm Chianti tannins. The wines are velvety, easy to drink, and very enjoyable, a real favorite!
