A forest technician by training, Pierre Vaïsse is a native of the Terrasses du Larzac, a unique wine-growing terroir in France whose reputation has continued to grow. In 1999, Pierre Vaïsse took over his parents' 2.5 hectares of vineyards, refining his experience and expertise as a cooperative winemaker. He released his first vintage under his own name in 2007, at the age of 33.
A friend of Laurent Vaillé (Grange des Pères) and Frédéric Pourtaillié (Montcalmès), Pierre Vaïsse emphasizes the importance of grapes that are well-balanced and aged for a long time in oak barrels and casks. The wines thank him by showing freshness in their aromas and silky tannins. Velvet on the palate and a unique expression of the Terrasses du Larzac.
