Magnum Champagne 1er Cru Soliste Chardonnay Les Tartières et les Porgeons JM Sélèque 2016
The Magnum Champagne 1er Cru Soliste Chardonnay Les Tartières et les Porgeons JM Sélèque 2016 is a refined elixir, produced from the pure blend of two contiguous plots located in the heart of the Pierry terroir. This cuvée is the result of a unique combination of sparnacien clays and campanien chalk, offering an intense sensory expression that captures the complexity of the Chardonnays from the Coteaux Sud d'Epernay. Between flesh, tension, volume, and freshness, this champagne is exclusively composed of Chardonnay, mainly harvested in 2017 for the magnum format. The vines, planted in 1990 and 1985 on deeply loving loamy clay soils, sink their roots into chalk starting at a depth of 70cm. South-east facing halfway up the slope with a 10 to 15% incline, they benefit from an ideal microclimate for grape ripening. The vinification takes place entirely in oak barrels of various sizes for a period of 10 months, without any fining or filtration, followed by aging under cork in cork flower for up to six years for the magnums. This champagne is offered in an extra brut dosage at 2g/L, promising a taste experience as pure as it is complex.
