Founded from scratch in 1993 by a couple of vine enthusiasts, Jocelyne and Yves Lafoy, the Lafoy estate thus has its family roots in Ampuis. Starting with almost nothing (1.5ha in the Côte-Rotie appellation), the Lafoys have grown the estate in reputation and quality, now reaching 8ha. The vineyards are cultivated in Côte Rotie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, and Côtes Rhodaniennes.
Son Gaëtan joined the family adventure in 2012, working hand in hand with his parents. The direction remains the same, namely a respectful work of the vine and traditional winemaking, in the good sense of the term, in order to deliver wines faithful to their terroir. The key words for the wines of this confidential estate: freshness, minerality, finesse, and harmony!
