Domaine Du Pelican

The Domaine du Pélican is above all the meeting of a major figure in Burgundy viticulture, Mr. Guillaume d'Angerville (Domaine Marquis d'Angerville in Volnay), with a passionate winemaker from Jura, François Duvivier (manager of the d'Angerville estate), and an iconic figure from Jura, Jacques Puffeney. Founded in 2012 in Arbois, precisely in Montigny les Arsures, the Domaine du Pélican covers 15 hectares, including 5 hectares acquired from Jacques Puffeney. With solid foundations and a clear vision: under no circumstances reproduce Burgundy wines, but create here a unique identity, the result of François Duvivier's expertise and his Jura touch. The estate is managed biodynamically, with the ambition of highlighting Jura terroirs through meticulous vineyard work and parcel vinifications. The future seems bright for this estate on the path to high quality. The wines, after a few years of aging, are fresh, sapid, and intense.
