Domaine Metras Jules

Son of Yvon Métras, one of the most talented winemakers in all of Beaujolais, Jules Metras inherited an unparalleled know-how from his father. Jules' production remains confidential (just a few hectares at most), as he is uncompromising each year on the sanitary quality of the grapes to be vinified. The berries are delicately sorted and then placed whole in tanks for a sulfur-free carbonic maceration. The aging process is delicate in barrels for several months. The wines combine the Métras touch (purity of fruit, finesse, elegance, very fine tannins) with the natural density of the old vines he works with. Thanks to meticulously selected grapes and exceptional talent, Jules Métras is a metronome in the crafting of natural wines. These velvet Gamays have few peers throughout all of Beaujolais.
