Champagne Roederer Brut Collection 246 – Louis Roederer
The Brut Collection 246 Champagne from Maison Louis Roederer embodies the precision and elegance that have been the hallmark of this great Reims house since 1776. This exceptional blend, sourced from the Champagne region's three emblematic terroirs – La Rivière, La Montagne, and La Côte – reveals the richness of the Grands and Premiers Crus carefully cultivated by the Roederer family for seven generations.
The wine has a bright color with a fine and steady effervescence. The nose combines ripe yellow fruits, candied citrus, woody vanilla notes, and iodine nuances reminiscent of chalk and seashells. On the palate, the fruity attack leads to a delicate texture with creamy bubbles. The mid-palate reveals a saline and chalky tension, supported by an oily and subtly powdery substance. The long and vibrant finish stretches with smoky and toasted notes from the perpetual reserve, offering an energetic, precise, and profoundly harmonious style.
This Collection 246 Champagne pairs perfectly with a refined aperitif, grilled fish, or fine charcuterie. Served between 8 and 10 °C, it expresses its complexity and can be aged for several years to gain depth.
