The house of Bollinger is one of the legendary names of Champagne, and rightfully so. It was founded in 1829 thanks to the meeting of Athanase de Villermont, a landowner in Champagne, and a German wine merchant, Joseph Bollinger. In 1920, the house gained its nobility and branding image thanks to Jacques Bollinger, who notably created the famous Bollinger RD cuvée. Located in Ay, the Bollinger house is one of the few that remains independent and family-owned. All the cuvées are of great quality, revealing a lot of personality with each vintage.

This Special Cuvée Champagne from Bollinger is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier. More than 85% of the grapes come from grand cru and premier cru classified plots, with a maturation time more than twice the appellation rules! Therefore, it is a high-end and unique champagne, with a majority of reserve wines, some of which are kept in magnums for 5 to 15 years. This champagne impresses with its subtle combination of structure, length, and liveliness; a fine velvety bubble and pure aromas of pear, brioche, spices, fresh nuts...
