This Nebuchadnezzar of Champagne Carte d'Or Extra Brut from Maison Drappier is the emblematic cuvée of a family estate established in Urville since 1808, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. A true signature of the house, it embodies all of Drappier's know-how around the Pinot Noir, the king grape variety that represents 80% of the blend. Coming from Kimmeridgian Jurassic limestone soils and vinified by gravity without filtration or discoloration, this cuvée, almost Blanc de Noirs, reveals a remarkable aromatic richness. The nose opens with elegant stone fruits, white peach, and a characteristic spicy touch, before giving way to a powerful, vinous, and complex palate, with the unique olfactory signature of quince jelly that has made the legend of Carte d'Or. Very low in sulfites, precisely dosed at only 5g/l, it seduces with its purity and aromatic sincerity.
