This magnum of Mercurey 1er cru Sazenay 2018 from Domaine de Suremain comes from an emblematic plot of the family, cultivated with passion for several generations. Ideally located on the east side of Mercurey, the clayey terroir brings depth and structure to this cru.

The 2018 vintage, marked by a generous and sunny summer, gave birth to a powerful and fleshy wine, without losing the elegance of Pinot Noir. In the mouth, one discovers a dense and harmonious material, carried by silky tannins. The aromas unfold on a gourmet register of ripe red fruits - raspberry, black cherry, stewed strawberry - enhanced by some spicy notes and a subtle freshness that balances the whole.

A Mercurey 1er cru for aging, already attractive today with its vibrant fruit, but which will gain in complexity over the years. A large format ideal for conviviality and cellar aging.
