Alekse 2010 Single Cask Michel Couvreur Whisky Bottle 50cl
This Single Cask Alekse 2010 whisky from Michel Couvreur is a rare and confidential gem, produced in only 800 copies. Distilled in Scotland on March 31, 2003, this exceptional single malt has benefited from a 17-year aging process in the Burgundian cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune, in the heart of 500-liter casks that previously held Amontillado Butt Sherry. This unique maturation gives the whisky its beautiful amber color and profoundly original character. Without any peaty or smoky notes, this spirit gains all its complexity from the oxidative Sherry barrel: the nose reveals a remarkable intensity with aromas of rancio, nuts, roasting, cocoa, spices, and tobacco, accompanied by delicate dried floral notes. In the mouth, elegance prevails with an extremely delicate texture, followed by a very persistent finish where honey and spices harmoniously mingle. A whisky for contemplation for enlightened connoisseurs.
