Magnum of White Wine Saint Véran Joseph Drouhin 2023

This magnum of 2023 white Saint-Véran from the house of Joseph Drouhin comes from this charming village in the south of Burgundy, near Mâcon and the famous rock of Solutré. The Drouhin family has long recognized the great potential of this village dedicated 100% to the Chardonnay grape on a limestone and marl terroir similar to the Côte-d'Or. This 2023 Saint-Véran reminds us of the class and freshness of a great Pouilly-Fuissé, with notes of orchard fruits, white flowers, and peach. The palate is round and flavorful, showing a very nice fruit maturity. A sunny Chardonnay to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with white meat in sauce, all at a temperature of 13 degrees.
