Magnum red wine Saint Joseph Rue des poissonniers Julien Pilon 2024

This magnum of Saint-Joseph Rue des Poissonniers 2023 from Julien Pilon comes from a blend of several plots located in the north of the appellation, on the typical granite slopes of the right bank of the Rhône. A cuvée made from 100% Syrah which accurately reflects the finesse and character of the northern Saint-Joseph wines.

The wine was aged for 12 months in 225 L and 500 L barrels, with approximately 10% new oak, to preserve the freshness of the fruit while adding structure. Upon tasting, one discovers an intense nose of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, the texture is velvety, supple, with a beautiful roundness, and a harmonious, persistent finish.

A convivial, balanced, and seductive magnum, that will appeal to both wine enthusiasts and the curious.
