The Beaunoise is a craft brewery based in Beaune, a city mainly known for its wine heritage, but which can now boast a magnificent craft brewery within its walls. It is important to note that La Beaunoise brewery continues the strong ties between Burgundy and beer.

In fact, Jean Sans Peur, the Duke of Burgundy at the time when Burgundy extended into Flanders, created the Order of Hops in 1419. Jean Sans Peur imposed the use of hops, and the name "beer" replaced the term "cervoise" at that time.
