The Domaine Ganevat needs no introduction, as the work of Jean-François and his sister Anne has been showcasing the best of the Jura region for years. In their domain in La Combe de Rotalier (south of Lons le Saunier), Fanfan Ganevat comes from a long line of winemakers dating back to 1650.
After working for his father and then for the Jean-Marc Morey estate in Chassagne-Montrachet, Jean-François took over the family estate in 1998. The results have been remarkable ever since... the estate remains small, with 8ha meticulously cultivated with over 17 different grape varieties. This impressive diversity is further enhanced by their biodynamic certification.
Meticulous and precise, Fanfan takes special care in the unique aging process of each wine, typically in oak barrels for extended periods.
