Magnum Champagne Verzenay Grand Cru 2019 - Pierre Paillard
The Magnum Champagne Verzenay Grand Cru 2019 - Pierre Paillard is a true refined expression of old Pinot Noirs from the Grand Cru vineyards of Verzenay, particularly from the plots of Les Corettes (planted in 1979) and Les Champ Saint Martin (planted in 1967).
This champagne is typical of Pinot Noir, offering flavors of red fruits and citrus with a delicately iodized finish. It stands out with great restrained and refined power. Aged in barrels, corked for the second fermentation, and spending 4.5 years on lees before disgorging, this wine benefits from a minimal dosage of 2 gr/l.
Verzenay presents diverse profiles due to its many terroirs with contrasting soils and exposures. This 2019 from Maison Paillard, from the old vines of Les Corettes and Les Champs Saint-Martin, offers an elegant and dynamic structure. It is characterized by notes of red and yellow fruits, such as peach and apricot, with citrus accents that stretch towards grapefruit or pomelo. This champagne, both ripe and complex, remains less opulent due to the distinctive mark of these plots.
Capacity: 1.5 L
