This Mathusalem of Champagne Carte d'Or Extra Brut from Maison Drappier is the emblematic cuvée of a family estate established in Urville since 1808, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. A true signature of the house, it embodies all of Drappier's expertise around Pinot Noir, the predominant grape variety representing 80% of the blend. Harvested from Kimmeridgian Jurassic limestone soils and gravity-fed vinification without filtration or coloration, this almost Blanc de Noirs cuvée reveals a remarkable aromatic richness. The nose opens with elegant stone fruit notes, white peach, and a characteristic spicy touch, before giving way to a powerful, vinous, and complex palate, with the unique olfactory signature of quince jelly that has made Carte d'Or legendary. Very low in sulfites, precisely dosed at only 5g/l, it captivates with its purity and aromatic sincerity.
