Les Routes is a lieu-dit located on the top of the Garrigues de Gigondas, where a massale selection of Serine, coming from Fonsalette and offered by Jacques Reynaud in the 90s, was planted. This Serine, itself from a massale at Chave in Hermitage, benefits from an ideal exposure in an early sector. Vinified pure for the first time in 2016, this cuvée is now aged for 18 months in 1 and 2-wine demi-muids. It embodies the finesse and distinguished character of Syrah from the Northern Rhône, transposed to a southern climate. This winemaking process requires perfect control of ripeness to offer a vibrant balance. With an average yield of 18 hectoliters per hectare, this wine is a unique expression of Syrah in the southern terroir.
