The 2023 vintage of Mercurey 1er cru Clos du Paradis in magnum format once again embodies the elegance and depth of the great terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise. Made from 100% Pinot Noir and grown on the clayey slopes of Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu, this 1er Cru from Laurent Cognard stands out for its precision, silky texture, and subtle balance.

This wine benefits from 12 months of aging in oak barrels, which reveals the finesse of its aromatic profile. Upon opening, the palate reveals delicate aromas of ripe red berries - raspberry, redcurrant - enhanced by floral hints of violet. The texture is supple, elegant, supported by a beautiful mineral structure that ensures length and freshness.

This magnum pairs perfectly with refined regional cuisine: roasted Bresse chicken, filet mignon, mushroom risotto, or aged cheeses. It has an excellent aging potential, but can also be enjoyed young to fully appreciate its vibrant fruitiness. In this case, decanting is ideal.
