Magnum Monthelie red 1er cru "sur la velle" 2022 Sextant
This magnum of Monthélie red 1er cru "Sur la Velle" 2022 by Sextant is a rare and vibrant cuvée, born from a terroir of great finesse on the heights of Monthélie, just a stone's throw from Volnay. Julien Altaber brilliantly expresses the delicate personality of this premier cru climate in the 2022 vintage, which is sunny yet balanced.
Grown organically, vinified without sulfur, this natural wine seduces with its aromatic purity and precision of execution. The nose is of great elegance: ripe red fruits (morello cherry, wild strawberry), peony notes, and a slightly smoky touch. In the mouth, the wine unfolds a fluid, chiseled texture with a beautiful tension that perfectly balances the richness of the vintage. The tannin structure is fine, the oak aging perfectly mastered, allowing the fruit to shine brightly.
This magnum captures all the subtlety and energy of a great natural wine from Burgundy, with an additional depth brought by the premier cru terroir. A bottle to be enjoyed today for its frankness and brilliance, or to be kept for a few years to discover its evolution with delicacy.
A large format tailored for special occasions, to be paired with roast poultry, filet mignon, or refined autumnal cuisine.
Capacity: 1.5 L
