A delicately evolved Mercurey, between finesse and structure

The 2017 vintage of Mercurey La Plante Chassey in magnum format offers a subtly matured version of this Burgundy pinot noir signed by Domaine Derain. Thanks to natural winemaking and biodynamic agriculture, this cuvée reveals a beautiful aromatic evolution, combining stewed fruit (black cherry, plum) with elegant tertiary notes of undergrowth, light leather, and sweet spices.

On the palate, the wine unfolds with suppleness and depth. The tannins are integrated, the texture velvety, and the saline finish reflects the vitality of the terroir. The magnum format has allowed it to retain freshness and balance despite the years.

Best enjoyed today with a stewed meat, duck with cherries, or a forest mushroom sauté.
