Initially, "Genepi" is a generic term used by the locals to refer to several aromatic plants from the Alps. The tradition involves harvesting them at the end of summer, macerating them in alcohol, and then distilling them as the autumn chill sets in.

The Pères Chartreux elevate this ancestral elixir by leveraging their incredible 400 years of experience as plant distillers. Their unique process combines maceration and distillation. This "intense" version is incredibly intense and powerful, with hints of hawthorn, sweet spices, white pepper, and an infusion of alpine herbs.
