Magnum white Châteauneuf du Pape Saintes Pierres 2020 Château de Nalys
The Magnum Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Saintes Pierres 2020 from Château de Nalys, owned by Maison Guigal, embodies a bright, fresh, and approachable take on the great whites of the appellation. Crafted with precision, it reflects the historic terroir of Nalys in a radiant, elegant version that is perfect for enjoying right away.
A typical blend, marked by freshness and balance
Made from a subtle blend of traditional white Rhône grape varieties – Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Picpoul, and Picardan – this wine reveals a beautiful aromatic diversity and a harmonious structure. Vinification is mainly done in stainless steel tanks, with aging on fine lees that preserves the fruit's freshness and enhances the finesse of the mouthfeel.
An expressive terroir highlighted by Maison Guigal
The grapes come from the historic plots of the Nalys vineyard, on sandy and clay-limestone soils. These soils give the wine its mineral tension, brilliance, and lightness. Maison Guigal, renowned for its expert craftsmanship, has created a cuvée that is both accessible and distinctive, in the pure style of Châteauneuf-du-Pape white.
Tasting notes: aromatic brightness and a luscious palate
Pale gold color with green reflections. The nose is expressive, with notes of white flowers, citrus, and white-fleshed fruits. On the palate, the attack is lively, the mid-palate is creamy, and the finish is taut with a slight saline touch. A balanced, flattering, and refreshing white wine.
Food pairing
Ideal with grilled fish, seafood, white meats, soft cheeses, or Provençal cuisine, this magnum fits perfectly into convivial or summer meals.
A white to enjoy young, in a generous format
Thanks to its fresh and charming profile, this wine can be enjoyed now while also improving positively over 5 to 7 years. The magnum format ensures a slower oxygenation process and excellent aging potential.
Volume: 1.5 liters
