This magnum of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine "Terre de Pierre" 2023 from Domaine Luneau-Papin comes from the iconic lieu-dit of Butte de la Roche, originating from a rare rock: altered peridotite, giving rise to a magmatic origin serpentinite. This unique terroir imparts a vibrant energy and remarkable tension to the Melon de Bourgogne. The perfectly balanced 2023 vintage offers a wine of great purity, aged for 18 months on lees in buried concrete tanks. The palate opens with lemony notes, a full texture that elegantly tightens, revealing a marked salinity and delicate bitterness. It is a straight, precise, and deeply mineral wine, capable of aging for over ten years.
