Magnum of Chassagne-Montrachet White Wine 2023 – Joseph Drouhin
This magnum of Chassagne-Montrachet 2023, signed by Joseph Drouhin, expresses all the richness and finesse of one of the iconic villages of the Côte des Blancs. Produced from Chardonnay grapes grown on complex soils combining limestone marls, colorful clays, and stony scree, this white wine immediately charms with its generosity and elegance.
The slightly golden robe announces an intense nose where white flowers, brioche, and candied lemon mingle. Over time, these aromas evolve towards hints of toasted hazelnut and spices. The palate offers a generous and refined texture, marked by a beautiful sap and a persistence that reveals floral notes and gingerbread. The 2023 vintage, particularly warm and perfectly controlled, gives the wine a rich aromatic profile, a full structure, and remarkable freshness that highlights the uniqueness of the terroir without ever weighing it down.
This Chassagne-Montrachet reveals its full potential after a few years and is an ideal pairing for noble fish, creamy poultry, or aged cheeses. It is best enjoyed around 13°C and has excellent aging potential, up to a decade.
