The Humbert estate is located in the beautiful village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. It is a family-owned domain managed by two brothers, Frédéric and Emmanuel, since 1989. They cultivate seven hectares of village, premier cru, and a grand cru (Charmes-Chambertin) vineyards. They produce pure, powerful, opulent wines that result from a long extraction process. It is necessary to be patient and allow them a few years of aging to fully reveal their character.

This Jéroboam of Gevrey-Chambertin 1er cru Poissenot from domaine Humbert Frères comes from a superb plot located in the Combe de Lavaux, facing south on a slope of scree. A mineral and refined wine, with aromas of black fruits, cherries, and subtle oak notes. It offers a lot of volume and balance on the palate with a mineral touch on the finish. The tannins have softened gracefully and the wine has gained complexity, with notes of faded rose, peony, and undergrowth. A great wine ready to be enjoyed.
