Magnum Rouge Octavie Savoie Berlioz Adrien 2023
A vibrant, pure, and undeniably lively mountain red wine
The 2023 vintage of the Octavie cuvée marks a new expression of the Persan grape variety, a forgotten gem from Savoie that Adrien Berlioz passionately elevates. Cultivated at high altitudes, this rare grape variety offers a wine with a straight, juicy, and intensely fruity profile, true to the alpine identity of its terroir.
In this 2023 red magnum Octavie, the fruit is dazzling: blackcurrant, wild blackberry, sloe, blueberry, like a tangy coulis that glides on the palate. The tannins are precise, taut yet elegant, framing a lively, sharp, and refreshing substance. The slightly spicy finish, with hints of white pepper and bay leaf, delicately prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
A red wine with character, showcasing the beautiful mountain tension, ideal to accompany grilled meat, a duck fillet with cranberries, or simply to surprise curious enthusiasts in search of a lively and rare terroir wine. Enjoy now for its fruitiness or age for 5 to 7 years to explore its depth.
