The 2013 Mercurey La Plante Chassey magnum from Domaine Derain is a rare cuvée that reveals the full complexity of Pinot Noir after several years of maturation. Coming from a promising terroir in Mercurey and produced using biodynamic methods, this wine accurately expresses the balance between fruit, evolution, and terroir.

• Color: Evolved ruby with tile reflections.
• Nose: Elegant and nuanced, combining cooked red fruits (sour cherry, raspberry), notes of undergrowth, fine leather, spices, and a slight hint of dry leaves.
• Palate: Soft attack, melted and silky tannins, beautiful harmony. The evolution brings refined tertiary notes and a long finish, delicately spicy and mineral.

Ideal with roasted pigeon breast, game stew, braised beef, or matured cheeses such as Époisses or Brie de Meaux. Serve between 15 and 17°C, with prior aeration to reveal its full complexity.
