Magnum Champagne Ludes 1er Cru 2019 - Pierre Paillard
The Magnum Champagne Ludes 1er Cru 2019 - Pierre Paillard comes from old Meunier vines located in the Premier Cru vineyard of Ludes, specifically from the Les Hautes Pertes and Les Vigneulles de Devant plots, both planted in 1970. This area, facing east and close to the Grand Cru of Mailly-Champagne, is distinguished by its limestone and low clay soils.
This cuvée offers a unique expression of Meunier planted on the north faces of the Montagne de Reims, developing radiant salty and bitter sensations. The grape variety gives way to the chalky subsoils, bringing a unique complexity to the champagne.
Aged in barrels, cork-topped for the second fermentation, and having spent 4.5 years on lees before disgorging, this wine presents remarkable richness and finesse with a minimal dosage of 2 g/l.
Mainly sourced from the Hautes Perthes plot and complemented by Les Vigneulles de Devant, this champagne is exceptionally refined and tense. It is marked by a pronounced salinity, capturing and concentrating ripe aromas of apricot, white peach, and nectarine, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.
Capacity: 1.5 L
