Magnum Champagne Boréal R22, Clandestin
The Magnum Champagne Boréal R22 from Clandestin is a rare and elegant parcel cuvée, made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes harvested in 2022. Cultivated on the clay-limestone soils of the Kimmeridgian in the Côte des Bar and facing due north, these vines give the wine a unique mineral freshness. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in large capacity barrels, aged on lees for 10 months, and then matured for 15 months on racks, Boréal R22 is a Brut Nature with no added dosage, revealing the purity of the terroir. Its delicate nose combines green apple, citrus zest, and white flowers, while its creamy and balanced palate reveals ripe pear, honey, and roasted hazelnuts, with a saline and iodized finish. A refined champagne, perfect as an aperitif or paired with shellfish, expressing the uniqueness and boldness of the Clandestin estate.
