Magnum red wine Auxey Duresses Moulin aux Moines 2022
The 2022 Auxey-Duresses red Magnum from Clos du Moulin aux Moines is a confidential and luminous cuvée, from a vineyard managed organically for over a decade. Nestled between Meursault and Auxey-Duresses, the historic estate, completely restored by the Andrieu family since 2008 and led by the talented winemaker Willy Roulendes, showcases here a delicate and lively Pinot Noir, reflecting the terroir it comes from.
A timeless place, a masterpiece of craftsmanship
Located along the Cloux stream, the vines benefit from a cool, well-drained terroir composed of limestone and marl, providing tension and complexity. The grapes are grown organically, hand-harvested, vinified with minimal intervention and little to no sulfur, before a subtle aging process with just the right amount of oak, allowing the fruit expression to shine through.
Tasting notes: finesse, fruit, and depth
This 2022 vintage reveals an expressive nose of ripe red fruits – cherry, raspberry, redcurrant – enhanced with floral notes, undergrowth, and subtle spices. On the palate, the texture is silky, velvety, with a lovely density, fine and elegant tannins, and a fresh, persistent finish. An authentic and flavorful expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir.
Food pairing & serving
This refined red wine will perfectly accompany roasted poultry, veal fillet, leg of lamb, or washed-rind cheeses like Epoisses or Langres. Serve it between 16 and 18°C, after a brief decanting to fully open up its aromatic profile.
Potential for aging
Already charming today, this magnum can evolve over 8 to 10 years, gaining complexity and depth.
Capacity: 1.5 liters
