This bottle of Vieille Prune de Souillac from Louis Roque is the result of an ancestral tradition perpetuated by the Roque family for generations, in Souillac in the Lot, a region renowned for its plums. The Roque family continues to exalt the plum, carefully selecting different varieties to extract a magical array of aromas.

The process remains very artisanal: the plums are pitted and then naturally fermented. The distillation takes place in traditional copper stills before a long aging process. This Vieille Prune Réserve Impériale from Louis Roque has spent 5 years in a 400-liter oak barrel, without any added sugar, following the selection of the best plums from the estate.

The palate is concentrated, intense, and powerful, but not overly alcoholic; the fruit bursts with vibrant notes of prunes, plums, raisins, marzipan, Asian spices, nuts, and licorice... a true delight and a pure pleasure, the result of a craftsmanship of over a century.
