Chartreuse Jaune 2026 – Jeroboam 3L – Les Pères Chartreux

Created in 1840, this yellow liqueur is inspired by the recipe of the Vegetal Elixir. Faced with its success, Father Garnier, then prosecutor and liqueur master, decided to officially name it Chartreuse Jaune and trademarked "Chartreuse" in 1852.

This 2026 vintage, recently released by the Carthusian Fathers, faithfully perpetuates the tradition. Made from 130 plants, flowers, barks, roots, and spices, it stands out for its sweetness, spicy aromas, and natural color.

The making of Chartreuse Jaune differs from the Verte and requires several weeks of meticulous work, divided into several steps:

Grinding done by the monks in the plant room of the Grande Chartreuse monastery

Distillation to extract the aroma

Various macerations that reveal the active principles of the plants and give the liqueur its natural golden hue

It then ages for a long time in oak barrels, continuing to evolve and refine in the bottle.

Characteristics of Chartreuse Jaune:

  • An intense yellow color, with a fresh and spicy nose.
  • A soft structure.
  • Aromas of turmeric, citrus, and anise.
  • Floral notes that extend the tasting experience.
  • Alcohol content: 43% vol

Best enjoyed at a temperature between 12°C and 13°C, or on the rocks.

Capacity: 3 Liters
