This magnum of Mercurey 1er cru red wine Clos du Roi 2020 from Château de Chamirey comes from one of the most qualitative plots in Mercurey, ideally located on a clay-limestone soil. This Clos du Roi 2020 impresses us with its aromatic concentration, with notes of black and red fruits, elderberry, and a very nice woody, vanilla note. The volume in the mouth is substantial, but the balance is well defined thanks to the exceptional quality of the 2020 vintage in Burgundy. A very beautiful version of one of the leading wines of Mercurey!
