The Domaine Felettig, located in the prestigious village of Chambolle-Musigny, was established in the mid-70s through the union of Henri (son of an Italian immigrant) and a Chambolle native who owned vineyards.
The Domaine Felettig is relatively new and its reputation has been steadily growing every year, mainly through word of mouth from wine connoisseurs. When Henri retired in 2003, his children Christine and Gilbert took over the reins.
Since then, the Domaine has gained recognition thanks to Gilbert's dedicated and passionate work, both in the vineyard and in the winery. The wines have never been better. The cuvées from the 13 hectares of the Domaine Felettig benefit from Gilbert's skill in always experimenting, improving, and challenging himself. The organic certification is in progress. Gilbert's motto: no great wines without great grapes. The vineyard work has always been meticulous and remarkably masterful. Significant progress has been made in the winery: the Domaine has invested in high-quality equipment (vertical press, renewal of the barrel stock, new fermentation tanks with temperature control...). The wines are infused, velvety, deep, and exhibit a certain balance. The meticulous selection of barrels and coopers (those best suited to each cuvée's style) is remarkable. We were impressed by the recent vintages, especially as Gilbert is now supported by his daughter Pauline, who has inherited her father's talent.
