Domaine Roland Lavantureux

Roland Lavantureux has established the excellent reputation of this estate (founded in 1978) through common sense and solid Burgundian pragmatism. His two sons, David and Arnaud, have taken over in recent years. Every year, the wines are consistently excellent. The two brothers now work 20 hectares of vineyards using sustainable agriculture with soil plowing instead of herbicides. Grapes are harvested at full maturity (a rarity in Chablis!). In the cellar, aging in oak barrels on fine lees is favored to bring complexity and depth to the Domaine's best wines. The wines have an intense, mineral profile marked by the true craftsmanship of aging (contribution of lees to the aromatic profile). These wines never fail to impress!
