Jeroboam Genepi intense Pères Chartreux

This Jeroboam of Intense Genepi from the Pères Chartreux is a wonderful tribute to a mythical Alpine herbal spirit, from the Chartreuse valley in particular. Essentially, "Genepi" is a generic term used by the locals to refer to several aromatic plants from the Alps, traditionally harvested at the end of summer, macerated in alcohol, and then distilled during the cool autumn days.

The Pères Chartreux elevate this ancestral elixir by leveraging their incredible 400 years of experience as plant distillers. Their unique process combines maceration and distillation. This "intense" version is incredibly intense and powerful, with notes of hawthorn, sweet spices, white pepper, and an infusion of alpine herbs. It unfolds lengthwise and powerfully, leaving a pure, finely mentholated aroma in the mouth. What a punch!
