This Magnum of Champagne Solessence extra brut from J-M Sélèque is the foundation and cornerstone of the Sélèque style. South of Epernay, Jean-Marc (the third generation at the estate) took over the domain in 2008 and embarked on an impressive vineyard work, a pioneer in terms of soil management, respect for the biotope, and a drastic limitation of treatments. All this is done to harvest perfect grapes, without excessive yields. This Solessence cuvée is the subtle alchemy of a terroir, the three emblematic grape varieties of Champagne, and a careful aging process (30% in oak barrels) without fining or filtration. This Champagne is ethereal in every way, with fine and indulgent bubbles, an underlying tension, and an overall harmony worthy of a musical score, Jean-Marc's other passion!
