Magnum Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Coste Beert - Chouilly Grand Cru - Pierre Legras
At the origin of this story is this man: Pierre Legras, a contemporary of Louis XIV and Dom Pérignon. His parents, Laurent and Agathe, gave birth to him in 1662 in Chouilly, now a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. The first steps of Champagne, a time when the Court of the Sun King delighted in this exceptional and unusual wine, beloved by the youth. The birth of Pierre Legras marked the beginning of a great lineage of winemakers. Eleven generations have followed for nearly four hundred years. After training at the Avize viticultural school and obtaining a National Diploma in Oenology, Vincent created the Champagne Pierre Legras brand in 2002, as a tribute to his ancestor. Assisted by his father, he developed the estate over the years. The domain expanded from 5 to over 10 hectares. He gradually invested in equipment: presses, tanks, vineyards... all necessary commitments to offer wines that live up to his ambitions. Today, the unique style of Pierre Legras cuvées transcends borders.
This Magnum of Champagne Grand Cru Brut Coste Beert by Pierre Legras is a champagne made exclusively from Chardonnay, in the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs (Chouilly). A mineral, mouth-watering, and powerful cuvée. The palate is fresh and lively, with flavors of grapefruit, ripe citrus fruits enhanced by notes of almonds and hazelnuts. A Grand Cru worthy of its status and a wonderful companion for the table.
For what occasion? Fish tartare, shellfish and crustaceans, grilled fish. Japanese cuisine can also pair well.
